Wisteria and Pine, 30x40 (framed)

15.00 LBS

About this Painting

The artist has long appreciated the grandeur of wisteria flower clusters.  This beautiful canvas features a bold view:  wisteria clusters juxpositioned against blue-green pines.  Both are painted in layers of transparency, the pine dominating the left of the canvas while the wisteria commands the right.  Colors of the pine include ultramarine, cobalt and thalo blue and thalo green with lighter accents.  The wisteria is completed in cobalt, mauve and white accented in turquoise on a maganese cerulean sky and barely framed in earth tone trunk and branches.

Framing.  2 1/4 in. Rosewood frame rubbed with gold flecks, timmed in gold on both interior and exterior edges, and extended with a 1 1/8 in. natural linen liner trimmed in gold.
