Margaret's Magic Lilies, 30x24 (framed)

6.00 LBS

About this Painting

For many years the artist painted at Margaret Thomas' garden (She sold lilies, daylilies and peonies.) in Virginia. This composition shows a favorite flower that she did not offer for sale. Lycoris squamigera (sometimes known as Resurrection Lily, appropriate for Easter) is a plant in the amaryllis family. The magic is its growth pattern:  leaves sprout in the spring then die back.  In mid summer, the flowers spike without leaves.

Framing.  Custom gold frame with white linen liner.  This work was framed at the artist's direction to hang at his residence.
