Frequently Asked Questions

Are all artworks on this site available for sale?

Yes!! That's the point!  Paintings shown on this website are available for purchase directly from the studio.  Occasionally, some works may be in artist shows while others may be on consignment in galleries.  If so, please contact us and we will help you find the art you want.  We try to keep the website current; listing artwork we have on hand. Questions? Please send us a comment.

What forms of payments are accepted?

We accept various credit cards, including MasterCard, VISA and American Express, and PayPal are accepted.

How are prices determined?

All of the work is reasonably priced, generally based on the market, size and framing. Prices are shown on the individual art detail pages.

Are discounts coupons offered?

We offer coupons occasionally to create a buzz, to prompt sales and to celebrate holidays. ... And, of course, to people who love clam chowder (and lobstah). Discounts cannot be applied to shipping and processing, taxes, or previous purchases.

Can I commission a painting? If so, how?

Yes! The best thing to do is to contact us.  The artist has sold commissions based on size, subjects and colors.  We will be happy to discuss your needs and explain our process with you.

Also, prints and cards not currently offered can usually be added quickly upon request without obligation.  Just tell us!

Is the artwork framed?

Some paintings are framed. Most are not. Since framing is an important component of how a work of art is presented, the owner of an art work is often the best person to select the frame.

While occasionally requested, framed paintings will not be sold without frames.  Also, we are not offering framing options for unframed paintings at this time, but we are researching it.

Impressionist paintings are usually framed in gold-finished wooden frames, sometimes with a linen liner. Silver, stained wood, umber/black, and white are occasionally selected – based largely on personal choice. The artist's home has paintings hung in stained and gilded wooden frames, lined and unlined.  Some of these are available for sale on this site.  Good framing choices enhance the art, not “Oh. I love that frame!” (We cringed when we heard that -- 'twas a bad framing choice!)  Contact us for framing advice.
